Through baptism, we are reborn as children of God, freed from sin, and incorporated into the Body of Christ. Baptism makes us temples of the Holy Spirit and is the door that gives us access to the entire sacramental life of the Church.
We were indeed buried with him through baptism into death, so that, just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, we too might live in newness of life. - Rom 6:4
