Is provided by the nurse on staff (4 hours each day) and other designated personnel.

Evaluates the students’ needs and assists them in returning to the classroom or home.

Cannot diagnose.

Cannot keep ill students at school or provide long term observation.

Can only administer medication when supplied by parent/guardian per policy. Please see handbook before bringing medication to school.

Eat a healthy breakfast everyday.

Drink plenty of water, especially before and after recess, PE or sports.

Stay home if you are sick. Please see handbook for what students will be sent home for. These are the same reasons to stay home.

Get an annual flu shot.

Set time aside every week to do a lice check on your child. Lice are a year-round potential problem. Please visit http://www.headlice.org for information.

Get plenty of rest each night

Keep the health office updated on all new or changes in health conditions.
