We, the Catholic Church of St. Timothy, trusting in the Holy Spirit and committed to the New Evangelization, seek to bring all people to a deeper relationship with Jesus Christ.

RCIA Children

Family RCIA requires a year of catechesis/formation before beginning the formal RCIA process. If your child has not had any prior catechesis/formation, the sacramental preparation process will be around 2 years long.

Family RCIA offers youth (3rd - 8th Grade) who desire to be brought into full communion with the Catholic Church the time and environment to be formed in the teachings and practices of Catholicism, and so prepare them for the sacraments of Baptism, Confirmation, and Eucharist.
Family RCIA will meet Tuesdays from 6:30-8:30pm in St. Timothy Hall starting in September. At least one parent/guardian must attend each session with their child. During each session there will be time for children and parents to be instructed separately as well as time for parent and child to break open the faith together. Because we believe that parents are the first teachers of the faith for their children, the Family RCIA process will focus not only on preparing the child for the sacraments, but also preparing the parents to continue to cultivate and grow the faith as the children get older.

If you would like to register for Family RCIA please download the document below, fill it out and return it to the parish office. Once we receive your registration, the coordinators of RCIA will be in contact with you to set up an initial interview (this initial interview is something we do with every participant, so that we can get to know their current situation and so best meet their needs as they prepare for the sacraments).

For questions or more information about RCIA, please contact Joe Grubbs (480) 775-5215 or jgrubbs@sttimothymesa.org.
