We, the Catholic Church of St. Timothy, trusting in the Holy Spirit and committed to the New Evangelization, seek to bring all people to a deeper relationship with Jesus Christ.

RCIA Adults

RCIA (Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults) requires a year of catechesis/formation before beginning the prior RCIA process. If you have not had any formal catechesis/formation, the sacramental preparation process will be around 2 years long.

RCIA offers inquiring adults the time and environment to be formed in the teachings and practices of Catholicism, and so prepare them for full communion with the Catholic Church through the sacraments of Baptism, Confirmation, and Eucharist.

Inquiry sessions usually take place Tuesday nights from 6:30-8pm in the Spirituality Center. Anyone "inquiring" about the faith is welcome to drop in on any Tuesday that class is held.

The actual catechetical classes begin in September. If you would like to register for RCIA please download the document below, fill it out and return it to the parish office. Once we receive your registration, the RCIA coordinators will be in contact with you to set up an initial interview (this interview is something we do with every participant, so that we can get to know their current situation and so best meet their needs as they prepare for the sacraments).

For questions or more information about RCIA, please contact Dcn. Jim Beattie (480) 775-5259 or jsbeattie@sttimothymesa.org.

Registration form can be downloaded here: Adult_Inquirer_Information_Form.pdf
