This ministry is for anyone who has foster and/or adopted children OR would like to journey along with and support families who are. James 1:27 tells us "religion that is pure and undefiled is this: to care for the orphans and widows in their affliction and to remain unstained from the world." The goals for this ministry are 1) to support and encourage current foster and adoptive families in their journey 2) to recruit, encourage and support new families who either foster or adopt children and 3) to encourage others who wish to walk along with and support those families! There are many ways that anyone can be involved and participate in making a difference in the lives of these children!
In Arizona alone, there are more than 15,000 children in the foster system who need a loving safe family to provide a home for them. Many of these children will become or already are in need of a forever family to adopt them. There are many other children, babies included, who are adopted privately (not through the foster system) as well as internationally. If YOU have ever felt called to learn more about adoption or becoming a foster parent then come to any of our meetings. We meet the 2nd Tuesday of every month in St. Marks room. Watch the bulletin for details. You may also contact Vicki Ruiz at 480-242-7451 or DeEtte Milhone at 480-775-5238
